Blue Starr Kitchens LLC is a nod to the memory of Chef Jen's sister - Starr. She has also dedicated her passion for baking to the memories of her Grandma Bettie, brother Brian & of course Starr.
Plus all her Sollee & Kosman family members & many friends that support her!

At Blue Starr Kitchens, we are dedicated to crafting delicious, high-quality gluten-free baked goods that everyone can enjoy. Our mission is to provide a safe and indulgent experience for those with gluten sensitivities, offering a wide variety of treats made from the finest ingredients. With passion, care, and creativity, we strive to make every bite a delightful moment of flavor and comfort. At Blue Starr Kitchens, we believe that eating gluten-free should never mean compromising on taste or quality.
Chef Jen
Chef Jen began baking as a very young child both at home & with her Grandma Bettie who was an amazing baker filling many tins each year & creating the most amazing dessert buffet each Christmas on her dining room table. It wasn't until later in life when accounting wasn't fulfilling her life's desires that Chef Jen went back to school to become a nutritionist. That was when she was first diagnosed with gastroparesis (paralyzed stomach). She also enrolled in culinary school around the same time. In her first pastry class she found her true calling & shifted from accounting & nutrition to all things pastry! After 12 years baking in a hotel, for catering & then large scale production she was diagnosed with celiac ending her career in regular kitchens. It was time to take a step back & heal & learn how to bake gluten free. She went back to corporate accounting & began her gluten free journey, tantalizing the tastebuds of coworkers, friends & family. She then tried her recipes out at the Orange County Fair & winning ribbons each year for the majority of her entries. Now it's time for her to leap, both feet in & bake her amazing gluten free creations for the masses!!!
PS - while Chef Jen doesn't dwell on her medical conditions she is open to discussing her healing journey with - gastroparesis, celiac, type II diabetes, ITP (low platelets) & fibromyalgia.
